Obituary of Michael Patrick Lynch

Lynch, Michael Patrick Irondequoit: Peacefully on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the age of 14, surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his brother, Matthew; maternal grandparents, Inez vandenBosch & Giacomo DiMaggio. Michael is survived by his parents, Patrick & Bernadette Lynch; brother, Brendan Lynch; paternal grandparents, Thomas & Eleanor Lynch; aunts and uncle, Stacey Putnam, Thomas G. Lynch, Mary Kay Lynch; cousins, Jennifer & Crystal; The Beiter Family; and many extended family members and friends. Michael grew up in West Irondequoit where he attended St. Kateri School, Siena Catholic Academy and Irondequoit High School. Michael was an excellent student, great entertainer and public speaker. His competence and intelligence were matched by a deeply rooted kindness to everyone he met. Michael made the world a better place every day of his life. Some of Michael's passions were playing Magic the Gathering, Pixar films, watching "The Office" and other TV shows, 80's music and most of all, Theatre. Michael was in 24 productions through A Magical Journey Through Stages and school. Michael had a strong faith in God and he was a good kid, who was taken too soon. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him. Michael's life philosophy was, "Live life as best you can, treating others kindly and enjoying yourself because you only have one." A special thank you to all the staff at Strong Memorial Hospital PICU for their loving care and Ronald McDonald House for their hospitality. The family is most grateful for the overwhelming outpouring of support from the Irondequoit/Greater Rochester community and beyond. His family will receive friends Monday April 17th, 3-8pm at the funeral home, 570 Kings Hwy S ***There will be a courtesy shuttle from Christ The King Church by Excel Limousine & Pt. Pleasant Fire Dept. for when the parking lot is full***. Friends are invited to meet the family Tuesday 11:00am at St. Frances Cabrini at Our Lady of the Americas (Corpus Christi Church 864 East Main St.) for his funeral mass. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to a scholarship fund that will be established in Michael's memory.
