I graduated with John from St, Cecilia's in 1963, so I knew him throughout
elementary school. I remember we practiced/performed a skit together from
a popular song of the era (can't remember the name). One of John's teachers
from 7th or 8th grade was Sister Conleth who is still alive and living at the Sisters of Mercy house.
Your Dad was well liked by his classmates and I never remember him criticizing anyone. I'm sure he was a good father/grandfather and is now in a blessed place. I believe there is probably 10+ fellow classmates that he is having a private reunion with right now. If you have a chance after Mass try to visit the
hallway behind the alter to view the 1963 class picture. Maybe your Dad has already taken you there.
My sincere wishes for your families good health and fond recollections of your Dad.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this time.
John was a wonderful man, with a very giving heart and soul. I feel fortunate that I got to know him. He was an inspiration to many of the men and women at Hope Haven. His simple wisdom touched everyone he met.
He will also be missed by the guests of the mental health association drop-in center where he came to visit me many times. When they heard of John's passing they were sad and wanted me to pass along their condolences as well.
John's legacy is one of giving and I will make to sure to be more mindful of that in the weeks and months to come.
In peace,
Katheirne

Dear Family,
Sincere sympathy for the loss of John. He was the son of my cousin Jack. Although we were not close, I remember the good time we had at the family reunion at Hamlin Beach and the pleasant conversation we had when his mother, Kay, passed away. John was a couple of years behind me and my husband,Cliff, at Eastridge. John and Cliff were on the swim team together.
My parents were Edward and June brother to Charles and Helen.
The pictures of John and Family were wonderful. It is sad that our family has lost another member. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Love, Clifford and Dale (Huss) Imes
