Martha Alice (Weit) Richards passed away peacefully to be with our Heavenly Father on June 2, 2017 in Redding, CT. She was born March 8, 1913 to Valentine and Catherine Weit, and was joyfully welcomed by her eight sisters and three brothers.

Martha married the love of her life, Harwin Richards, who preceded her in death in 1989 after 50 years of blissful marriage. She is survived by two children, Joyce Wenglowski and husband Gary of Katonah, NY, and James Richards and wife Amy of Claremore, OK; four grandchildren, Gary M. Wenglowski of Katonah, NY, James H. Richards and wife Leanne of Kendall, NY, John Richards and wife Rachael, of Rochester, NY and Catherine Wenglowski and husband, Brendan White, of NYC; two great-grandchildren, Emmett White and Hunter Richards; and beloved nieces and nephews.

Martha was a strong woman of faith who was loved by all. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 29th at 9:30 am at St Kateri at St. Margaret Mary Church (401 Rogers Pkwy). Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Loving memories of our dear Martha will be remembered forever.
