I am so sorry for your loss. I am upset that I missed seeing that Ruth has passed. I knew Ruth as a fellow member of Professional Secretaries International and the Genesee Valley Women's Golf
Association. Ruth told me that if I was to play golf I needed to know the rules. She told me this right after I grounded my club in a sand trap. She had the best jokes and I always smile when I thought of her.

Dear Ruth's Family,
Although I have never met you, I have known Ruth for a long time. I worked at the City School Didtrict with her. At that time she was affectionately known as "aunt" Ruth to those of us youngsters she took into her tutelage. (Mind you this youngster is currently 67) I found myself suddenly thrust into the head secretary position and had no idea how I got there much less what to do. Enter aunt Ruth. She was a lifeline in many ways to help ensure my longevity at the job. She was also part of a conspiracy with my sister who also was with the District and others to hornswaggle me into being the Bo-Ed chairman for the year. This was all decided and mysteriously voted on in her kitchen! Imagine that! (The Bo-Ed group was the quasi social organization that actually was a power organization of gals to stand up for workplace inequities and policies to have some say in how things were to be done by our work force.) again, do I know anything? Of course not. Aunt Ruth and the rest of the conspiracy made sure I excelled at the position. She was a grand lady with style and class and always had a good joke to share! God bless her and keep her safe. With love and friendship, Win Ward
