Brent,
Lots of prayers and love go out to my wonderful brother. I watched you over the past few months leap forward through each medical hurdle with amazing strength and optimism. I also saw how you suffered in silence and still managed to smile, joke, and be engaged in the moment. You even played some marathon games of Cribbage with me when you were feeling uncomfortable. You never gave up the fight...
Over the years our conversations were, shall we say, full of controversy and introspection. I will always be grateful for your many years of guidance and advice throughout my life. You made your self available to me and my family to which I am truly blessed. I am very glad that you brought Jeanne into our family. She was the piece that completed you. You were always there for each other and had such an amazing bond. She was such a trooper through all the moves and new houses to finish. I can't think of anyone else that would have spoiled you the way she did. You know the rest of us suffered for that! Over the course of your illness, she was the perfect advocate and caregiver. pushing you forward and keeping such great track of appointments, medications, etc, etc etc. Always being by your side the whole way... night and day.
I will miss you very much. God Bless you.
Love always, Susie

I remember talking to my uncle Brent about cars and playing Nintendo 64 with him at the house in New Jersey. I will never forget the moment he got me into BMW'S and all of the troubles he had with his one car. Always having a fun time during Thanksgiving and going to the flea markets and just hanging out in general. My aunt and uncle mean so much to me and my family and the loss of my uncle Brent is very hard on all of us. You will never be forgotten and you will always be missed uncle Brent, we love you very much and watch over us from heaven. We love you!

Uncle Brent,
I don't know where to begin. I remember all the great holidays with you and aunt Jeanne, I remember playing the old games with you in your office while you were on your computer. Reading the dilbert comics with you and you laughing and me pretending to laugh like I knew what it meant. Or when we would do our nightly walks when you lived in NJ and I had to use my Barbie skates and I fell and sprained my wrist and before you left for work you came over and kissed it to make it feel better. Christmas time and thanksgiving holidays were always the best. We always had to get cookies or candy for you for a gift. I will never forget you uncle Brent and I will forever and always miss you. If tear drops could build and stairway and memories a lane I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
Love you uncle Brent,
Courtney

To Jeanne and the rest of Brent's family, Nancy and I offer our heartfelt wishes to comfort you in this time of sorrow. I was shocked as I read the paper this morning and immediately started thinking about the craziest things from our time growing up, although I am not sure we ever completely grew up, and then the crazy times we had in Rochester until we each met our future wives and settled down a bit. I remember how much Brent loved the old rock and roll, and made me a CD with some classic songs. And I remember, I recently teased him about his knowledge of cars of the 50's and 60's. Although we haven't seen much of each other recently, we were constantly sending email jokes back and forth. I will miss that. God bless.

We will all miss you Uncle Brent. I will never forget our UNO tournaments late at night when everyone went to sleep. You get the chance to play UNO with new friends and old family upstairs now. I love you Uncle Brent.
