Obituary of Kathleen J. Traver

Traver, Kathleen J. Irondequoit: Predeceased by her father, John. Kathleen is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Scott Traver; daughter, Jennifer (Larry) Klimek; sons, Michael (Katie) & David Traver; mother, Lois Knobel; sisters, Arlene Bobin, Mary Ann Wittel & Jean (Pete) Melia; brothers and sisters-in-law, John (Alane) Traver, Connie Sage, Barbara (Mike) Cross, Tom, Bill & Marcie Traver; many nieces and nephews; beloved dogs, Sidney, Nala, Snickers & Bailey. Kathy worked 28 years at Kodak, followed by 11 years at Monroe #1 BOCES. She loved working at both locations, but it was her co-workers that made her time there special. Kathy was passionate about giving back to the community. She was a mentor, spent many years on the PTA and Girl Scouts, and served as a volunteer for 10 years at Sunset House. Kathy was the glue that bonded family and friends together. Kathy enjoyed weekends with family and friends at Black Lake. She loved writing poems and cutting out newspaper clippings to share. Going for motorcycle rides as well as supporting Honor Flight were dear to her heart. Kathy loved to laugh, help others and spend time with family and friends. She was the life of the party and lived each moment to the fullest. Kathy's love of life and laughter was contagious and spread to everyone around her. She had a generous heart and never ceased to lend a helping hand. Kathy's spirit and kindness were felt by all. Family will receive friends Wednesday 4-8pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy S.) Friends are invited to meet the family Thursday 9:30am at St. Kateri at Christ The King Church for her memorial mass.
