Dear Tom's family,
I knew Tom many years through the Irondequoit Art Club and the downtown Y. He was a caring, involved member of the Club. I remember sitting next to him during many critiques of our paintings - he was a confident artist who really enjoyed creating his renderings. And I remember the delicious, gigantic, green salads he would make for the Club's holiday parties or other trays of goodies for the Club's show openings. At the Y, I would see him on the stair master. Given that he was at least 20 years my senior, he was an inspiration. The last time I spoke with him by phone, he was about to go for a walk with his new friends around his new home.
I am glad I knew him.
My heart and prayers go out to you at this time.
Fondly,
Sally Steinwachs
