I cut Carolyns hair for the last 7 or so years. She always always made me smile. I loved our conversations and that she was not afraid to say how she felt no matter what. I unfortunately heard of her passing today so I am heartbroken that I couldn't pay my last respects. The last time I saw Carolyn, I made sure she had the entire salon to herself, so I could shave her head in private. She was so brave, braver than I would be. I hated having to do it but was glad I could be there for her during that hard step. I will miss you Miss Carolyn, I will always remember our last hug, and the laughs we had when you were in my chair. My thoughts and prayers to her family...she loved them so.

Carolyn was our angel at work; she always made sure we teachers were taken care of. She knew every child's name who came to our center and welcomed each of them lovingly. My sincere condolences on the loss of your beloved Carolyn. While I knew her for many years when she worked with Bittkers, I was fortunate enough to really get to know this beautiful lady when she arrived at the JCC and became a valuable and valued staff member at the Wolk Children's Center. Carolyn was a shining light to all she came in contact with; colleagues, parents (and grandparents) and, of course, the children. I am a better person for having had the opportunity to work with her these past few years. May all of you, her family, now great memories that never diminish, and may Carolyn deservedly rest in peace.
