Linda and Leslie, You are in my thoughts...so sorry for your loss. I remember your mom on Placid Place baking apple pies. She could peel an apple like I have never seen before. She would start at the top and never cut the peel until it fell off at the bottom. It amazed me. ! The Galvins were never that clever. Your parents were very much a part of my life growing up. The fireman parties, New Year day parties etc. We had fun together. Hope to see you soon and take care. Claire

Lin, you’re in our thoughts and I know you know I’d be there if I could. Your mom was such a fixture in my life. I grew up with her! Looking back, life on Placid Place was fun even though your Mom made you do your piano practice before you could come out to play. When I was sick, she knitted me Barbi Doll clothes. And she was such a good friend to my parents especially my mom. So I will celebrate her life tomorrow. I’m so glad I was able to see her just a short time ago. Hang in there. We’ll get together soon. Linda and Leslie, I'm sad to hear of your mom's passing. As you know both your dad and mom were a true friend of our family. I remember many times seeing your mom down talking to my mom and who can forget the numerous parties held by the firemen. I wish I could be present for her services but I am to far to make the trip.
