Irondequoit: Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the age of 84. Predeceased by his wife, Patricia; son, David W. Mitchell; brothers, Frank, Fredrick and James and son-in-law, Michael Helms. George is survived by his children, Michael (Karen) S. Mitchell, Michele Helms, Marc J. Mitchell; grandchildren, Brendan Helms, Nicole Helms; sister, Grace DeVelder and several nieces, nephews and many dear friends. George was a member of the Sea Breeze Fire Department and a Veteran of the Korean War.

His family will receive friends FRIDAY 4:00 - 7:00pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy S.) where his funeral service will be held SATURDAY 11:00 AM. Interment Irondequoit Cemetery.
