Irondequoit: Born in Rochester, NY, passed away on March 6, 2018 at the age of 89. Paul was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Paul was pre-deceased by his beloved wife, Thea; parents, Gregory and Caroline Mishia; sister, Geraldine (Jim) Sorg; mother and father-in-law, Maurice and Christina Smallenburg; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Charles Munier, Wally (Ken) Kuhn, Astrid Smallenburg, Mary (Jack) Galipeau and Tom Haney. He is survived by his daughters, Christine, Ann, Jeannie (Peter) Lootens, and Barbie (Wesley) Van Keuren; grandchildren, Stephen (Stacy), and Emily Van Keuren, Peter (Erin), Jeffrey, Christopher, Gary, and Anna Lootens; great grandchildren, Giana, Ethan, Elias, and Oliver Van Keuren, and a great grandchild due in April (parents, Peter & Erin); sister, Helen Munier; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Chris Haney, Nici (Gerry) Knebel, and Fred (Marge) Smallenburg, and many nieces and nephews. Paul was a veteran of the US Army Air Forces.

His family will receive friends Friday 4-7pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy S.) Friends are invited to meet the family Saturday 10:00am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church for his Funeral Mass. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Masses may be offered for the repose of his soul, or donations may be directed to St. Kateri Tekakwitha – Latin Mass Community or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
