O'Grady, Edward J. "Jack"
Irondequoit. Passed away Saturday November 28, 2009. Jack is survived by his wife of 60 years Joanne Healy O'Grady, his daughter Julie Deems of Melrose MA, his son John O'Grady of Raleigh NC, his daughter Ann(George)Grobe of Ontario, NY , eight grandchildren Gregory, Jennifer and Kristen Deems, John and Lauren O'Grady, Jack, Macaire and Parker Grobe, his sister Pat Kuhrt of Rochester, his cousin Dotty Delano of Rochester, and several nieces and nephews. He was an alum of Aquinas Institute and the University of Rochester. He served in the Marine Corp. in WWII. He retired from Eastman Kodak after 40 years of service as an optical engineer. The family is deeply appreciative of the care and comfort provided by St. Ann's Home and Lifetime Hospice.
No prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend his memorial service Saturday, December 5, 2009, 10:00 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church followed by interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family wishes donations be made in Jack's name to the Thousand Islands Land Trust, Clayton NY to preserve the River that brought him so much pleasure.
