I have known this great man since I was a very young. I have many memories of him and I will share a few of them. He gave me my first start in the field on engineering, standing up for me and getting me a job in Rochester where we would drive to work together every day and we would listen to the world news report on the radio. I wanted to hear music but I learned to listen and see what the rest of the world was doing, I still listen to the news on the radio when I drive today. After work we would go to the local cola plant where we would return the empty glass bottles and he would purchase another case for dinner. We loved to drink our colas, just the cola, no rum, I learned about that later in life. Finally, I remember many fruit trees in his back yard and he took such good care of them. My favorite was his black cheery tree. How sweet the cherries were and my memories of this wonderful man. I will always remember him.....
