Obituary of Doris J. Christensen

May 15, 2018 at age 87. Predeceased by her brother John Neumann. Survived by her children: Keith & (Peggy) Christensen, Ann & (Greg) Cummings, Julie & (Gus) Northrup, Laurie Christensen & Andy Tratch, grandchildren: Sara & (Nate) Phillips, Pam & (Jesse) Flint, Emily Cummings & Hayden Cummings and great-grandchildren: Luke & Leah Flint, Brielle and future baby Phillips. Doris was a world traveler, avid reader, fabulous gardener, seamstress, bicyclist till age 70, but most of all, THE BEST mother and grandmother.

Doris worked for 27 years at Whelpley & Paul in Northgate Plaza, and knew everyone with glasses in the Town of Greece. She moved to Irondequoit and spent her retirement volunteering at the Irondequoit Schools. She leaves a legacy of love, goofy songs, and memorable sayings.
