I regret that I will be away on Friday and unable to attend Annemarie’s funeral. She was one of the most selfless people I have ever known. I worked with Annemarie for most of the 35 years that I worked in politics and she was always eager to help, to organize, to assemble volunteers, nothing was too much for Annemarie. She was the wind beneath the wings of countless individuals and she will be dearly missed.

Miss Duminuco was my 3rd grade teacher at St Andrew's School and she was my favorite teacher ever. I liked her so much that I wished that I could go home with her. When I grew up I became a teacher and I taught K-3 for 33 years in the City School District. I had to go to a reading workshop and their was Miss Duminuco (Santoro) leading our inservice. She recognized me and told the group that I was 1 of her favorite 3rd graders and she was happy to see that I became a teacher. I felt so proud. We got to talk afterwards and I told her that she was my favorite teacher. We saw each other off and on at different places and I was always happy to see her. My deepest condolences are sent to her family. I know that she will be missed by all who loved her.

Annemarie prayed for her family and friends everyday, now its our turn to do the same for her. While we shall miss her, we are comforted in the knowledge that when Annemarie passed she was greeted at the Pearly Gates by her husband Nick, who lifted her from her wheelchair and together they walked into heaven to share eternity with each other.
