Bobby I'm so sorry to here of your Dad's passing. The Kraten family was neighbor s for years on Garford Rd. I have many fond memories of your Mom and Dad. When we were kids we used to play together. I remember you had freckles and remember me trying to count them on your face. I'm so glad that after all these years I was able to see your Dad again at St Anns where he lived and also my Mom. I would take my Mom and go visit him. I could only understand Yeah but he would sing. I knew when he knew what I was because he would say yeah. He would kiss my hand and smile and then a tear would come to his eyes. He was a very sweet man. May your father rest in peace in heaven. Debbie Kraten- Rozzi, Rochester, NY

I have always cherished my memories of Bob and Janet Kimmel. They were friends of my Father and Mother, Bernie and Rita Kolb. Uncle Bob as I referred to him (we were not related) always took time to play catch when they visited our cottage on Honeoye Lake. Bob was a gentle giant and I will never forget those patient and kind indulgences for my constant clamoring for a game of catch, me with a glove, him with his bare hands. May you both be resting in peace together like my Mom and Dad.

Bobby's family was close friends with my Dad (Bob Baker) in Sea Breeze. So much in fact I called Bobby my cousin. He was truly a great guy along with being a great member of law enforcement. He will be sadly missed. For the whole family I express extreme sorrow for their loss. Don Baker Sea Breeze

So Sorry to hear about your Fathers passing. He was my boss at IPD for all of the years I was on mornings. I remember him always talking about his time at "The Port Deluxe" bar and restaurant on Portland Ave. He was a good Man and a good Police Officer, I learned a lot from him. I no longer live in NY State and I will not be able to pay tribute to him. Thank You " Norton" (is what he and my other friends called me)

Please allow me to offer my condolences to the Kimmel Family. You will be in our family's thoughts and prayers. I have such fond memories of the "Sarge" coming into work after we would wrap up the "midnight" shift. He would always stop by my dispatch area and ask how I was and how the night went. He always had a smile and I was the grateful recipient of his smile for almost 10 years, every day. He represented the best of "old school" law enforcement, and I am better for knowing him and working with him. "Blewski"

I had the privilege to serve with him at the Irondequoit Police Department where he was highly respected and liked but all who served with him. Sgt. Kimmel was the first road patrol Sergeant I worked for at the IPD. He was very patient with this "new guy" and was fair and understanding. I enjoyed working for him and the manner in which he handled our roll call briefings and the guidance he gave to us when handling a variety of police related situations. He was truly dedicated to the Irondequoit Police Department and I was very fortunate to work for him. My thoughts and prayers to the Kimmel Family. Chief Richard Tantalo Irondequoit Police Dept.
