Melanie and her husband George have been my neighbors since I moved in more than 3 decades ago. I am fortunate to have had them as my role models first as advisors about caring for my property, but then also to look up to in regards to living a full and meaningful life in the face of difficulty. Melanie especially taught me a great deal about GRACE just by being herself in the last two years. Her physical vigor, engagement and appreciation of all aspects of life, love of her expanding family, curiosity about new things, endurance and acceptance of things she could not change, all remind me of the Serenity Prayer. Her down-to-earth integrity is an inspiration to me about how best to live one's life on this earth. It gives me pleasure to see her legacy living on in her surviving family. Thank you so much, Melanie.
