Anna Sochockyj

Rochester: Thursday, October 18, 2018 at the age of 93. Pre-deceased by her husband, Wasyl; daughter, Maria Leftwich; sister, Sonia Weaver. She is survived by her daughter, Stephania Brown; grandson, Alex Brown; granddaughter, Laura (Christopher) Kendrick; great granddaughter, June Kendrick; siblings, Maria Syplywyj, John Yakymyszyn, Kathryn Pukyrys, and Parania (Frederick) Smith; nieces and nephews, Vera, Tania, Mark, Nadia, Luba, Ostap, Luba and their families; extended family in Ukraine, Canada, and PA.

Anna was a lifelong parishioner of St. Josaphat's Ukrainian Catholic Church, and member of the Ukrainian Women's League. She looked forward to helping prepare food for the Ukrainian Festival yearly. Anna loved her family dearly, and also cherished her friends within the church community. She enjoyed gardening and caring for her home.

Her family will receive friends Monday 3-6pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy S.). Panachyda 5:30pm. Friends are invited to meet the family Tuesday 10:00am at St. Josaphats Ukrainian Catholic Church for her Divine Liturgy. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to St. Josaphat's Ukrainian Catholic Church.
