Bruce R. Lowenguth

Webster: Passed away unexpectedly on January 15, 2019, 9 days shy of his 80th birthday. Bruce was the first born child of Chet and Ruth Lowenguth and the elder brother of Gar Lowenguth (Cindy) and Candice (Ken) Wild. Bruce was happily married to the love of his life Barbara for 60 years, meeting when they were 13 and 12 years old, respectively. Bruce and Barbara raised five children in Ontario, N.Y. He is survived by his wife Barbara, Drs. Mark and Roxanne Lowenguth, Michele Wilferth, Julie and Jack McDonald, Dr. Jeffery and Dawn Lowenguth and Dr. Gregory and Kate Lowenguth. He is survived by 13 grandchildren; Roy and Jennifer Wilferth, Katherine, Christopher, Megan, Amanda, Emily, Kayleigh and Molly Lowenguth, Riley Cott, Bryce and Ava Mamon and Scott McDonald.

Bruce graduated from Aquinas Institute in 1956 and attended St. John Fisher College, majoring in Business. He was an employee of Independent Oil Co., M. Egan and most happily at Sweeteners Plus. Bruce's dedication and hard work were instrumental to the success at Sweeteners Plus serving as the Vice President of sales. He retired at 65 and enjoyed 15 years of retirement.

Bruce was a true renaissance man. One who would hunt and fish with dear friends, garden and write poetry to his loved ones or simply enjoy a quiet conversation with a glass of wine and the sunset. He mostly enjoyed his time with family, never missing his children and grandchildren's birthdays and activities.

Bruce loved the water, enjoyed sailing and boating. He built his dream home overlooking Lake Ontario next to his two sons.

Bruce was a man who loved life to the fullest and was loved by everyone he met. His passing leaves a void in so many lives. He truly brought out the best in all of us.

In remembrance of Bruce, the family requests a written memory and photo for a memory book.
