Obituary of Jerome E. Jenny

Jenny, Jerome E. Greece. At the age of 85, Jerry passed away on Friday, December 25, 2009, at the Edna Tina Wilson Nursing Home, with his loving family by his side. He was born June 2, 1924, in Utica, the son of the late John and Clara Weber Jenny, and was educated in Utica schools. On February 23, 1946, he married Catherine "Betty" Eichler, a loving union of 63 years. Jerome served in the European Theater during WWII where he received the Bronze Star. For many years, Jerome owned and worked at Smyth-Despard Co., Inc., retiring in 1983. He is survived by children Barbara (Paul) Nickerson, Thomas (Janice) Jenny, Diane (Dan) Seaman, Kathleen (Greg) Smith, Joan (Sam) DeVola, Carol Paladino and Eileen (Scott) Christensen, grandchildren, Christopher, Blaire, Ryan, Brett, Michael, Brian, Thomas, Jennifer, Kristin, Nicholas, Matthew, Kathryn, Camryn and Cole, 7 great grandchildren, sister, Joan Clare, OSF. He was predeceased by his parents, and brothers Oscar, John, and Raymond. No prior visitation. Friends are invited to meet the family Wednesday 10:00am at St. Margaret Mary Church for his Memorial Mass. Interment Private at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to charity of your choice.
