Obituary of John Dyminski

John Wladislaw Dyminski, Ph.D.

Hilton, NY on January 18, 2019. John, born in Germany on February 13, 1945, was the eldest child of Jan and Wanda Michionek Dyminski. Predeceased by his father, Jan Dyminski, partner, Douglas F. Herzog and brother-in-law, Francis Ferte. He is survived by siblings Barbara Rathbun, Elizabeth Valerio, Theresa Ferte and Edward Dyminski (Cindy Christian), his furry companion, Jaxon, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

John grew up in Rochester and graduated from McQuaid Jesuit High School. He pursued his education earning degrees at University of Rochester, Syracuse University and the University of Florida College of Medicine. In the early 1980's headed to California working as a Director of Regulatory Affairs establishing a distinguished thirty year career in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.

John was a great cook and excellent baker; cheesecakes being one of his specialties! He enjoyed his dogs, discovering new recipes, gardening, taking photographs especially his beautiful flowers, crossword puzzles and traveling. He spoke five different languages and lived life to its fullest.

A celebration of life will be arranged when convenient for family.
