Yonkers, NY. Sunday, October 26, 2008. Pre-deceased by her husband Petro. Mrs. Balko is survived by her children Lesia (Walter) Rabarsky, Bohdan (Christine) Balko, 4 grand children, Matejko and Alexandra Rabarsky, Larysa and Nicholas Balko, 1sister in Ukraine, Maria Shewchuk, several niece and nephews and cousins. Kateryna was a member of Women's Organization for the Four Freedoms of Ukraine and Ukraine Home of Rochester.
Her family will receive friends Thursday 2-4 & 7-9PM at the funeral home. (Panachyda 7:00pm) Friends are invited to meet the family Friday 10:00am for her Divine Liturgy at Ukrainian Catholic Church of Epiphany. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Children of Chornobil, act.# 107123, RUFCU, 824 East Ridge Road, Rochester, NY 14621.
