As a North Street kid in Edmeston, NY I have so many fond memories of Daryl. He had music in his very core <3
Even when he walked down the street, he would be humming or singing! This always brought a smile. The years of their band practicing in the garage were epic.
I send my deepest condolences to Darlene, Mrs. Holdridge and Barry.

We were Mac clients of Daryl, and will miss his expertise tremendously. But we will also miss his kind, gentle nature, and his joy of life. We always enjoyed hearing about his travels, and his contagious reverence for nature. And, we enjoyed talking to him about his band and musical exploits. We feared something was amiss, as he was always Johnny on the Spot responding to our panicked requests for assistance with our aging computers, and when he didn't respond after several messages and emails, we were very concerned. We were greatly saddened to learn of his passing.
We didn't know him well on a personal level, but we are confident that he touched many lives in the kindest and best of ways. We are grateful for the contact we were privileged to have with him, and we, along with his family, friends, and clients, are now all the poorer with his passing.

I am so sorry to hear of Daryl's passing. As his long-time classmate at ECS I was hoping that we would see each other at our class reunion this fall. I have fond memories of Daryl and our years at ECS. His intellect and curiosity knew no conventional boundaries. I particularly remember his love of reading, and of course, music. My sincere condolences to Darlene, Barry and Marge and all of Daryl's loved ones.

Darlene and family,
My sincere condolences on our loss. In my eyes, Daryl was a good and gentle man, with a sharp mind and a great interest in both computing and music.
I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations regarding the music he shared so freely, his acumen of the world of Mac's, his enlightened perspective on the natural world, philosophical musings, love of food, drink. and the human spirit. Most of all, his love of life!
Rest in peace and God bless. Slainte'mu mu chaire,
Russ

"Fare you well, fare you well/I love you more than words can tell." He has borne me on his back a thousand times. When you were Daryl's friend, that was settled doctrine. Hail and farewell, good friend.

I knew Daryl through my office but stayed in touch for many years with personal computer requests. He was one of the smartest, funniest guys I knew and I always looked forward to his Christmas greetings. Rest in peace, Daryl.

I'm so sadden to hear of Daryl's passing. As his brother Barry and I were close friends in our youth, we lost touch at some point. My return visits to Edmeston were typically around July 4th, I remember Daryl in the 70's and his love of music. His abilities to play the Hammond organ amazed me. I wish his mom Margery, Barry and Daryl's family my deepest condolences. Rest In Peace Daryl.

Daryl was a brilliant, funny, big-hearted, lovable eccentric friend. When he came over to work on my Mac, he'd spend a 1/2-hour solving the problem... then we'd spend an hour or more at the kitchen table chatting about books, music, his and Darlene's travels & the ever-expanding list of concerts they'd seen. He often arrived with a book from his library he wanted me to read, and often left with one of mine.
I suspect Daryl was an old soul. We will so miss him.

Very sorry to learn of Daryl's passing. A kind and genuine soul who helped cure several of my ailing Apple computers over the past 20 years. I will miss his knowledge, good humor, and generosity. My deepest condolences.

Darlene and family,
I remember Daryl fondly and was so sad to hear he had passed. He was such a joy to work with--I almost didn't mind having computer problems. I loved when he answered his phone "shoe phone". His stories of his trips were wonderful, especially the safari in Africa. I will miss knowing he is just a call away. Bless you all in this sad time.

It is with a very heart that I heard of Daryl's passing. Growing up with Daryl as next door neighbor was joyous time in our lives. The friendship we formed in childhood never diminished over the intervening years. I always admired his determination and resolve. The first time we heard the Beatles we knew our lives had changed for the better.
It is with great sadness I leave this message.
To my friend Daryl "Happy Trails to you until we meet again"
With Love and Friendship,
Paul

I`ll always treasure the memories of weight training with Daryl in his Queen St. home back in the early 80`s.He was a solid partner and we meshed well together. Any time that I hear Warren Zevon`s "bad luck streak in dancing school".I`ll always think of those good times. My deepest sympathy to Darlene and family.

I was so sorry to hear of Daryl’s passing. We grew up together and along with our other cousins, spent many happy occasions at our Grandparets home.
Dary was a brilliant man and always sought out his own path in life.
Just one more thought: He was half of the best Christmas cards ever
I extend my deepest sympathy to his entire family

I was very saddened to learn of Daryl's passing. He kept our expanding tribe of Macs running for many, many years. Although the only time I ever saw him was when he was picking up or delivering an ailing Mac, I always looked forward to chatting with him. He was wicked smart, funny, easy to like. His travel stories were always amazing and I envied his ability to visit the far reaches of our planet. He particularly loved his trips to Madagascar, and we will be contributing to that group.
Rest easy, Daryl.
