Helen Temechko

Irondequoit: Sunday, April 7, 2019 at the age of 94. Pre-deceased by her husband, Michael; sister, Sandra (Dmytro) Jarema. She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Maria & Jonathan Braun; beloved grandchildren, David and Jenny Braun; nephew, Ihor (Laurie) Jarema; niece, Irene (Bill Buchanan) Jarema; great nephew Alex (Ann) Jarema .

Helen was a member of the St. Josaphat's Seniors Group and was a longtime volunteer for the Ukrainian festival. She enjoyed a long happy retirement from Gleason Works, pursuing her many hobbies including needlepoint, gardening & cooking. Helen most enjoyed her time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and was very proud of their accomplishments.

Her family will receive friends Thursday, April 11th, 5-7pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.). Panachyda 6:30pm. Friends are invited to meet the family Friday, April 12th, 10:00 am at St. Josaphats Ukrainian Catholic Church for her Divine Liturgy. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hildebrandt Hospice Center, 3111 Winton Road South, Rochester, NY 14623, or St. Josaphats Church.
