Obituary of Eugena R. Belardino
Please share a memory of Eugena to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Eugena "Gina" Belardino - May 25th 2019.
While The Rolling Stones played in the background, Gina peacefully passed surrounded by her daughters Tiffany and Jennifer Belardino and family friend, Dr. William Valenti.
Gina loved life, she lived each day to the fullest. Gina had a deep understanding of what is truly important - her family, her friends, nature, animals and the arts.
She loved sitting on her porch, relaxing, watching birds, fox, chipmunks and dreaming of deer resistant plants.
Gina created a thriving business in our community. She opened "The South Wedge Barber Shop" 33 years ago. The barber shop is a welcoming space, a space that is eclectic and funky. It is a place where people come to relax, where they can bring their dogs, check in on the resident tortoise and of course leave feeling great after a fantastic haircut. Gina loved her customers and built many life long friendships. She used her business to support equal rights.
Her great passion was walking beaches from Costa Rica to Cape Cod... Picking up litter, collecting beach glass, rocks and driftwood. For Gina, every rock and piece of driftwood was natures beauty to be displayed and admired like a Picasso painting.
She was a true individual from her tattoos to her purple hair which was often seen blowing in the wind while she was driving her convertible with one of her loyal companion rescue dogs riding shotgun.
Gina was a devoted mother and loyal friend. Her willingness to love and her nonjudgmental attitude has inspired us all. Her free spirit will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
