Dougherty, Sophie A. Irondequoit: Saturday, June 1, 2019. Beloved mother, grandmother, bank teller & wife of Bill (deceased). The last of 8 children of Roman & Sophie Shewchuk. Leaves: 3 children: Bill & wife Chris, Kathy & husband Greg, John & wife Gay, and daughter-in-law Rosalie; 6 grandchildren: Laura, Max (Sabrina), Melissa (Jun), Jen (Dave), Jeff, & Mariah (Doug); 6 great grandchildren: RJ, Landen, Aubrielle, Emma, Maddie & Ella; 11 nieces & nephews, and many great nieces and nephews. Favorite aunt of Diane (Bob), Jim (Catherine), Hallie, Emma & Kristin, and Bob. Joins husband Bill & best friends Ann & Howie (deceased). Sophie loved to gamble: cards, blackjack and horses. She was a sweet, cheerful, positive person who brightened the lives of everyone she met. Friends are invited to join the family Saturday, June 8th, 11:00 am at St. Kateri At Christ The King Church for her funeral mass. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
