Thomas J. Flaherty Jr.

Irondequoit: Peacefully on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at the age of 93. Predeceased by his parents, Thomas & Winifred; step mother, Rose; sister, Mary Holland; brother, John L. Flaherty. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Barbara; son, Thomas (Susan) Flaherty III; grandson, Thomas "TJ" Flaherty IV; brother, James Flaherty; sister-in-law, Millie Brady; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Tom was a Navy Veteran during WWII and graduated from RPI in Troy, NY. Tom worked as Professional Engineer at Kodak Park, retiring in 1983. He was an avid sailor, and skier serving on the National Ski Patrol for over 35 years.

A special thank you to Dr. Thompson, Sharon Kaplan, the staff on the 3rd floor of the Leo Center, and RGH, for all of their guidance and loving care.

No prior calling. Tom's memorial mass will be held Monday, July 8th at 10:00am at St. Ann's Home Chapel. Interment Irondequoit Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the House of Mercy, 285 Ormond St, Rochester, NY 14605.
