David R. Stahlecker

Irondequoit: Friday, July 19, 2019 at the age of 65. Predeceased by his father, Edward; siblings, Maura Anne and Robert. David is survived by his loving wife, whom he would have celebrated his 24th wedding anniversary with on August 18th, Noreene; daughter, Carrie Benjamin; mother, Marie; brothers, Daniel (Sandra), Edward (Sally), Michael; sisters, Patti (Bruce) Steffon, Maryann (Brian) Etter; sisters- in-law, Margaret Bennett, Kathleen (Terry Smith) Mashanic, Cheryl Gorall; special sister-in-law, Kathy Caren; many nieces and nephews; Godmother Frances Larson; special friend, Mary Beth Egeling; beloved cat, Fat Baby.

David served in the U.S. Army, and was a member of American Legion Post 134. He was employed by West Irondequoit Central School district, working his way from a cleaner to Director of Facilities. In retirement, he worked for IPD as a School Crossing Guard. For many years he was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and also a volunteer judge for Odyssey of the Mind for over 25 years.

Friends may gather Saturday, August 3rd from 3:00-6:00pm at the Harris Family Center (560 Kings Hwy, located behind the funeral home.) Interment private per David's wishes. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wayne R. Kehrli Memorial Fund C/O Odyssey of the Mind 406 Ganttown Rd. Sewell, NJ 08080 or ones favorite animal rescue organization.
