Johnson, Ruth E.

Irondequoit: Tuesday, July 30, 2019. Ruth, the daughter of Esther and Herman Altman, was born in Rochester on October 18, 1923. She spent her adult life making a  home for her family in Irondequoit. Ruth was active in the Rochester General Hospital Twig, enjoyed playing bridge, and was an avid golfer, scoring two holes-in-one. Predeceased by her husband, Robert. Mrs. Johnson is survived by two sons, Marc (Joyce) and Randy (Lynne) Johnson; granddaughters, Carolyn Johnson (Jack Tiranasar), Margaret (Julian) Barona, and Alice Johnson, and great-grandchildren Vivian, Axel, Leo, and Ethan. A memorial service was held on August 1, at St. John's Home, where Ruth resided for the past five years. Memorial donations may be directed to St. John's Home.
