I had the pleasure of working with Cathy on a client level. Although she was going through some rough patches in her life, I can honestly say that she kept smiling and pushing through it. What had recently occurred is appalling. She did not deserve it. I loved cathy for persistence, laughter and a friendship that we had built in a matter of a few weeks. She will be dearly missed and my condolences to the family at this time. I hope justice does get served, although I know that won't bring her back but it will bring peace! Love ya Cathy. Rest easy

My heartfelt condolences to the O’Brien family. They are second cousins whom I had not seen in years. Cathy was in my ski club and Craig was in my history class. All the best.

My sincerest condolences to the O'Brien family and anyone who truly loved Cathy.
Cathy is a BK classmate I will never forget. I can still see her, arriving to class late, sitting in the front of the class , at the request of the teacher, and searching through her big purse, chomping on a wad of gum. Lol I used to wonder what she was looking for in that purse.
R.I.P. dear friend. Love you always

We are so shocked and saddened by this news. Our families lived next door to each other on Culver Road and our parents were in the same circles so we spent a lot of time together hanging out with the O'Briens whether it was in the neighborhood, or at the Irondequoit Bay Fish and Game Club or the Mohawk Yacht Club. Cathy was always a very dynamic and fun person to be around and there was never a shortage of laughs and good times. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Craig, Patty, and Tim and their families at this difficult time. Love, Chris Ruoff and Family - Irvine, CA

I was so sorry to hear of Cathy's death. When she was a little girl she took a couple Sunday morning motor cycle rides with your dad and the "Bay group". We always talked of that time and the Bay days when I saw her. Fond memories!
My condolences to the family.

Cathy was a beautiful and free spirit. The Ruoff and O'Brien families shared many decades of friendship and love. Our parents were close friends, and because of that, we kids all grew up together in Irondequoit. The homes next to the Irondequoit cemetery, shared memories at the poolside, being babysat by Cheryl, and all of our childhood friends we shared through high school graduation. Cathy always was so happy to see any of us. She would lift you up with her energy and always want you to feel included. Such a joy, such a light, we all loved her.
