Jason J. Zwerka "Jay" Irondequoit: Peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, December 23, 2019 at the age of 37 after a short hard-fought battle with cancer. Jay is survived by his fiancée, Kelly Taylor and her son, Max; parents, Kenneth & Ruth Zwerka; brother, Jonathan (fiancée, Erika Hickey) Zwerka, nephews, Caleb & Joshua; uncle, Bill (Sally) Zwerka; beloved dog, Howie. Jay worked for the UA Local 13 as a Union Pipefitter for over 15 years. He grew up in Irondequoit and graduated from East Ridge H.S. in 2000. Jay was a talented welder, fabricator, and enjoyed fixing old cars. He will be remembered for his honesty, loyalty and love. His family will receive friends Friday, December 27, 3-7pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.). Friends are invited to meet the family Saturday, December 28, 9:30am at St. Kateri at Christ the King Church for his funeral mass. Entombment White Haven Memorial Park. Memorials may be directed to Local 13 Scholarship Funds, 1850 Mt Read Blvd North Srv Rd, Rochester, NY 14615.
