I remember Ms. Flihan's dedication to her students and enthusiasm as a teacher. I didn't know it until I saw notice of her passing, but given that I went on to study history at Colgate University, she and I apparently shared many interests! I send sincere sympathy to the loved ones and friends of a great teacher.

I am so sorry to hear of Rose Mary’s passing. She was a very dear friend. We played tennis together at Midtown Tennis Club every Wednesday night for nearly forty years. We met in a class at Midtown and continued to play until we could get a Season Court. We shared many family and personal life events along the way. We even took a trip to the Bahamas and, of course played tennis! Rose Mary was an avid athlete and loved all sports. I have many happy memories of Rose Mary and of her many kindnesses. I am attaching a 1970’s photo of Rose Mary and me in the Bahamas with our old wooden rackets. It seems like so long ago and it is impossible to believe that she is gone. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy. Nancy

We had a lot of good memories over the years. I am so glad you were part of them. I wanted to share a time when Rose Mary babysat George, Diane and I on Chapel Hill. She said we had to go to bed, but kept getting up. So she got a squirt gun and said if we got up, we would get squirted! That was a fun night! Rose Mary was a kind and loving aunt and will be greatly missed. Sending a hug up above. I wanted to share a picture that I love.
