Always caring, always helping, always smiling. Aunt Ann and Uncle Sam were my safe haven in the old neighborhood. From Ritz street to my uncle's many shoe repair shops in and around central park, bay street to park avenue. Never had to worry about having a pair of shoes, in those days you only got 1 pair. They formed a loving family bond that that shaped our lives forever.
The famous family carp picnics were an event that I will never forget that she and Uncle Sam helped organize. Least can we forget the Sunday dinners and holidays and the troupe of cousins that were sent off to the Astor theater to give the grown ups a few hours of peace.
Aunt Ann will always hold a special place in my memories and heart.
This is the last photo I have of her.
God Bless,
Nephew Michael Pavone

I was her paperboy in the 1960s. I lived on Willmont St. and I recall her house on Lyceum St..Her's was the last house on my route and I often saw her and had time to chat. She was always smiling and glad to talk about how things were with me and my family. I wish I had known she was still alive all these years, I could have tried to find out where she was living and stop for a visit. Out of all my customers, I still can remember her the best! Rest now sweet lady and thanks for being such a wonderful person. Len Crellin
