Wade Myron Sheldon went home to be with the Lord on September 18, 2020 at the age of 87. Wade was born May 18, 1933 to John and Merle Sheldon of Waterville, MN. He attended the Waterville High School, then upon graduating attended the School of Mines and Engineering in Rapid City, SD in Chemical Engineering. He also served in the US army from 1956-1958. On October 6, 1958 he married his sweetheart Joyce Lorraine Crouse in Fredrick, MD. They returned back to the family farm in MN and shortly after started to work at 3M and moved to St. Paul. They had 2 children Wade Jr and Lori. The family was active at church. In 1978 3M moved Wade to the plant in Rochester, NY. The family moved and became active in the Penfield community and their church, Webster Bible Church. Wade and Joyce lived in Penfield until 2019. Wade and Joyce enjoyed 60 plus years of marriage before Joyce went to be with the Lord on January 24 2019. Lori and her family took care of Dad, moving him to Papua New Guinea where they have served as missionaries for the last 30 years. Dad had his own apartment attached to their home and he enjoyed the love and friendship of the people there during his last 15 months. Wade died peacefully there with Lori and family. Wade is survived by his son Wade Jr and daughter Lori Smith. He has 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Gary Sheldon and his sister Ina Nystrom. He was predeceased by his parents John and Merle Sheldon, his brother Loren Smith, and his dear wife Joyce Sheldon.
