Obituary of Rose Manuele
Born Rosil Sepulveda Rosas in Guanica, Puerto Rico and moved to the states as a young child with her mother.
Rose worked since the age of 16. She was employed by Bastian Bros. in the 1940s and 1950s where she met her husband Vincent. Rose spent the following years raising her 3 children. She loved preparing holiday meals and was well know for her apple pies.
In the 70's she returned to work and retired from the Postal Service after 23 years. Her goal in life was to work hard to provide the best for her family.
During her retirement years, Rose enjoyed traveling, was active in bowling, taking walks at the local mall and spending time with her friends. Most of all Rose enjoyed bingo and her weekly bus trips to the casino.
At the age of 93, Rose fought dementia and a sudden case of the Covid 19 virus where she succumbed to these illnesses on December 24th. Rose dedicated her life to her family and always praised her children at every chance. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Rose is predeceased by her husband of 35 years, Vincent Manuele. She is survived by her children, Robert (Maryellen) Manuele, Richard (Azita) Manuele and Rebecca (Joseph) Izzo; six grandchildren, Jessica Manuele, Kristina (Steve) Bauman, Alexander (Ciera) Izzo, Melissa Manuele, Rebecca Izzo and Charlotte Manuele and five great grandchildren, Christian Velazquez, Conrad Bauman, Asher Izzo, Ezra Izzo and Hazel Bauman. Also, survived by her sister Christine Farmer, brothers Robert Turcotte and Albert Turcotte.
Friends are invited to meet the family Wednesday, December 30, 10:00 am at St. Kateri At St. Cecilia Church for her funeral mass. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Alzheimers Assoc., 435 East Henrietta Road, Rochester, NY 14620.
