Teresa Zazzara

Irondequoit: Teresa Zazzara (Costa), age 85, is predeceased by her husband, Barsilio, and sister, Laura Scibani. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, December 27th, 2020. She was born June 27th, 1935 in Caltanissetta, Sicily to Michele and Giuseppina Costa. She married her soulmate, Barsilio Zazzara, on September 27th, 1967. Together, they created a family she cherished.

Teresa loved cooking, baking, sewing, gardening, music, and being surrounded by her loved ones. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her children, Pamela Mancuso and Michael (Lisa) Zazzara, Ashley (fiancé Christopher) Mancuso, Jessica Zazzara, Alyssa Mancuso, Juliana Zazzara, Michela Zazzara, Great-Grandson, Greyson Mancuso, and many nieces, nephews, and family members remaining in Italy.

The family would like to recognize Doctor Anne Yawman for her support and guidance for Teresa's care during this past year, and especially during these last moments in her journey to eternal life.

Her family will receive friends Monday, January 4, 4:00 - 7:00pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.). Friends are invited to join the family Tuesday, January 5, 10:30 am at Our Lady Mother of Sorrows Church for her funeral mass. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
