Dorofy, Bessie G. (Sollami)

Rochester: Born September 27, 1924, she departed peacefully on May 16, 2021. Predeceased by her husband, James; parents, Salvatore and Santa; sisters, Jenny and Mary; brothers, Mike, Sam, Angelo, Joe, Charlie and Tony. Survived by her son, Michael (Tina)and granddaughter, Kaitlyn and many nieces, nephews and friends. Bess was proud of the time she worked as a Preschool Teacher at Baden Street, Edgerton and MCC Child Care Centers. She loved being with children and watching them grow and learn. Bess enjoyed cooking and many crafts, most of all she enjoyed spending time with family. She cherished the time she spent with her granddaughter, who called her Nana.

It is the family's request that masks be worn during calling hours and the funeral mass.

Her family will receive friends Sunday, May 23, 1:00 - 4:00pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.). Friends are invited to join the family Monday, May 24, 10:30 am at Holy Cross Church for her funeral mass. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
