Lylak, Olena Greece: Wednesday, May 19, 2021. Olena is survived by her husband, Eugene; children, Oksana (Brian Keenan), Markijan, Yvanka; grandchildren, Zenko Pilak, James Keenan; siblings, Slawka Chomik, Dmytro (Myroslava) Rewilak, Anna Rewilak, Michael (Dawn) Rewilak; "KYMA" Olga Korol, and many nieces and nephews. Olena, a native of Bradford, England emigrated to the U.S. in 1975. A life-long educator, she was Principal of Nazareth Academy for 12 years and Principal of the Ukrainian Saturday School. She served the Greater Rochester Community as a Founding Board Member of Homesteads for Hope and a Broker for Client Services at NYS-DDSO. A memorial gathering will be scheduled by the family at a later date. Divine Liturgy will be held Friday at 10am, May 28th at Ukrainian Catholic Church of Epiphany, 202 Carter St, Rochester, NY 14621, followed by internment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Olena's memory can be made to the Ukrainian Catholic Church of Epiphany, Homesteads for Hope, and/or the Ukrainian Cultural Center of Rochester, NY.
