Cousins: Tom, Michael and Patrick McHugh, and Marianne, Marlene, Wayne (deceased) McHugh. Kathleen attended St. Agnes High School and graduated in Arts from Nazareth College. She worked for a time at a bank and then Sears in Customer Service where she enjoyed using her people skills. Her beautiful smile and gentle manner endeared her to family, friends and caregivers alike. She was a devout Catholic who inspired her family and friends with her deep faith and wisdom. Her zest for life was shared through her wicked sense of humor, kindness, humility and generous spirit. She courageously lived her life enjoying people, her artistic nature, watercolors, embroidery and concerts (especially Rachmaninoff). In essence she was a beautiful person who saw the beauty in life and in others and freely engaged with all whom she encountered. Kathleen leaves a legacy of spreading joy, grace and compassion for others. We will love and miss you, Kathy, always and forever. Special thanks go to her wonderful Monroe Community Hospital caregivers, most recently the Hospice team, and the doctors and nurses at Highland Hospital. A Christian Mass and celebration of her life will take place on Wednesday, June 2nd at 10am, St. Margaret Mary's Church, 401 Rogers Parkway, Rochester, NY. A family Internment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery will follow the service. Donations in memory of Kathleen may be made to Monroe Community Hospital or a charity of your choice. .
