Obituary of Nancy A. Savoy

Savoy, Nancy A. of Penfield passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021. Nancy was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Catherine Frey Babcock, brother, Robert Babcock. Nancy is survived by son, Philip (Heather) Savoy, sister, Jane (Karl) Sidenius niece, Jessica (Russell) Rowe.

Nancy was a beloved teacher of hundreds of special education students and their families during her career at Greece Central School and BOCES. In addition to her family, she will be missed by countless friends who she touched with her kindness and caring. In her free time Nancy enjoyed gardening, traveling, arts and crafts; most importantly, she enjoyed the time spent with her family and friends.

It was Nancy's request to have private services. Interment will take place in Irondequoit Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Ronald McDonald house in Nancy's memory.

A small private ceremony will be held to honor her memory. However, because Nancy had such a large network of people she touched, the family is planning to hold a joyful celebration of her life at a later date where more people can gather together and have the happy sendoff she always wanted.
