Obituary of Gerald Lee Sanders

Greece: Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at the age of 84, Jerry passed away surrounded by his family. Jerry is pre-deceased by his parents, brother-in-law and mother-in-law.  He is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 63 years, Stella; children Debbie Hulse, Dan Sanders, David (Sherry) Sanders and Dawn Sanders; 13 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; cherished sister-in-law, Theresa Vaccaro; nephews Iggy (Pamela) Vaccaro, Christopher (Marissa) Vaccaro and Gino (Melissa) Vaccaro; several nieces and nephews.

After spending time in the Marines, Jerry came home to start a family.  Jerry was retired from Eastman Kodak for 30 years.  He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.  In earlier years he and his wife enjoyed traveling to different casinos and different states to look for a retirement home.  They eventually decided to retire right here in Rochester. He, his wife and sister-in-law (known as the 3 Musketeers) enjoyed going to the local casinos.  He loved playing with his grandchildren when he could and some of them will always remember from New Year's Eve "that it was a bandana grandpa, not a banana!!"

Jerry will be extremely missed by his family but are at peace knowing that he is suffering no more and that he has gone to be with God.
