Utter, Geraldine "Gerry"

Irondequoit – Passed peacefully on July 20, 2021, at age 95. Gerry was born in Rochester, NY on August 12, 1925 to Marceau Power and Lillian Roeper Power. Besides her parents, she is pre-deceased by her loving husband, Robert, of 69 years; brothers Chet (Rose), Bert (Mary), Jim (Millie), and Dick (Josephine) Power; sisters Jane (Ralph) Reisig and Shirley (Fred) Bonnewell. Survived by her children Sharon (Joe) DiFelice, Peggy (Bob) Hamm, Dwayne (Sue Hagen) Utter; Grandchildren Jill (Gregg) Ippolito, Andria DiFelice and Joe (Cindy) DiFelice, Rebecca Just and Sarah Hamm; Great-grandchildren Hannah, Brennen and Lily Ippolito, Nathaniel Just and Wyatt DiFelice; many nieces and nephews.

Gerry worked at the downtown Sibley's for over 30 years. Her biggest joy was her family and hosting holidays and get togethers. The cookies and beautiful cakes she baked and decorated were always made out of love for that special someone. Her family delights in the many recipes and traditions she passed down through the generations. Thanksgivings, Christmas Eves and the many other holidays at Grandma's house will live on in our hearts forever. She will be sadly missed by everyone whose life she touched.

Family and friends are invited to call Sunday, July 25 th from 2:00-4:00 PM at the Paul W. Harris Funeral Home (570 Kings Hwy South). A short service will immediately follow. Interment private. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Wounded Warrior Project or make a donation to the charity of your choice.
