Uncle Al will be sorely missed by the Mercury-McCann's. He was a constant source of joy every time we saw or talked to him. He was kind, gentle and a great listener. He always had a recommendation for a book or a movie that Trey made sure we followed through with. He reminded us that choosing "Mercury" as Quinn's middle name was sort of a "cult" thing, meaning , everyone is doing it! We loved him so and are grateful he was able to meet Quinn this Summer.
Aunt Glor, Derek and Lisa, we are heartbroken for you and so sorry we can't be there with you this weekend. Please know that we are thinking about you around the clock and sending all the love and light in this season of darkness.
Love,
Trey, Sarah and Quinn McCann

I love you all very much. Uncle Al was such a wonderful person, I loved him very much.
One small moment I always remember from my childhood with Uncle Al is when he taught me the trick of when to flip pancakes. It seems like a silly memory but it for some reason has always stuck with me. I can't remember how young I was but, Uncle Al, Aunt Gloria, Derek and Lisa were living at the house before the current Irondequoit house. We had a sleep over and Uncle Al made us pancakes in the morning. While he was cooking them he had me come over and showed me that when the top part starts to bubble its time to flip. Every time I make pancakes I think about Uncle Al and I am reminded of how kind and caring he is. I am happy I have that constant remind of such a special man.
Sending lots of love and strength from the Boston Mercury's - Brian, Denise, Mia & Mason
