Anderson, Robert E.
Rochester. Sunday, May 2, 2010 at the age of 78. Predeceased by his parents, Earl and Florence Anderson, brother, Donald and granddaughter, Staci Baxter. Robert is survived by wife of 56 years, Doris Seebold Anderson, daughters, Karen(William) Steve, Susan(Larry) Atkinson of GA., Lori(Dianne) Anderson and Julie Middlebrook, grandchildren, Marc Baxter, Kody & Kalie Middlebrook, Rachel Atkinson, aunt, Emilie Holden, brother-in-law, Bob(Gail) Seebold, niece, nephews and cousins.
Robert graduated from Charlotte High School in 1950, from 1951-1953 he served in the Air Force in Korea. He retired from Eastman Kodak and was a member of the American Legion, Post 100, Voiture 111, 40/8 and a charter member of the Monroe County American Legion Honor Guard. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, flying and was a 27 year camper at Shady Shores in Fairhaven. He was also a former Civil Air Patrol member and a member of the American Legion Past Commanders Club.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Rochester General Hospital and the Palliative Care Center for Caring at St. Ann's for their care and support.
His family will receive friends Wednesday 3-7pm at the funeral home. Friends are invited to meet the family Thursday 10:00am at the Lutheran Church of the Transfiguration for his funeral service. Interment White Haven Memorial Park. In memory of Robert, memorials may be directed to Lutheran Church of the Transfiguration, 3760 Culver Road, Rochester, NY 14622
