George J. Lipani

Greece: Peacefully surrounded by his children on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at the age of 92. Pre-deceased by his parents, Michael and Margaret; brother, Frank; and wife, Ellen. He is survived by his children, Jean (Tomas) Hernandez, Kathi (James) Scibilia, Linda (Rodney Gates) Lipani, Mary Ann (Martin) Sample, Walter Lipani, and Wendy (James) Spencer; grandsons, Corey Scibilia and Tomas Hernandez Jr.; sister-in-law, Lillian Lipani; beloved friend, Joe (Shelly) Messore; several nieces, cousins and many friends; step daughters, Mary Goeltz, Theresa (Rick) Surace, Helen Halloran; several step grandchildren and great grandchildren.

George was loved by everyone he met. He was a devoted husband and father. He also was a proud Army Veteran of the Korean War.

His family will receive friends Wednesday, December 1, 4-7pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.). Friends are invited to meet the family Thursday, December 2, 10:00 am at St. Kateri at St. Margaret Mary Church for his Funeral Mass. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Catholic Charities Community Service, 1099 Jay St. Bldg. J. Rochester, NY 14611.
