Bishop, Geraldine H. “Carol”, 84, entered into eternal rest on November 29, 2021. Predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years, Bill. Survived by her children Julie Bishop (Val), Lisa Evans (Jim), Dan Bishop (Mary Lou), Kerri Mandelaro (Jim), Laura Bishop (Dianne); grandchildren Tony (Jamie) and Joe (Audrey) Revell, Jon, Megan, and Rob Bishop, and Matty and Sophie Mandelaro; one great-grandchild coming soon; as well as the Colby and Mroczek families. Carol is also survived by her brother-in-law Robert Bishop of Ithaca, NY, and sisters-in-law Shirley Hayden-Pinaire of Ohio and Gail Bishop of Florida, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Carol attended St. Mary and Blessed Sacrament grammar schools, Nazareth Academy and Rochester Business Institute. Carol and Bill raised their children at their home in Irondequoit where they enjoyed weekly Sunday dinners and many special holidays. They spent 40 glorious summers at their waterfront cottage in Sackets Harbor, NY and made many lifelong friends. Carol was active in prayer meetings and the Women’s Club at St. Salome’s parish. She loved cheering on her beloved Notre Dame football team, shopping and lunching with her daughters, spoiling her grandchildren, reading, and of course watching QVC.

Friends and family may call at the Paul W. Harris Funeral Home (570 Kings Highway South, Irondequoit) on Sunday December 5, 2021 from 1pm – 4pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am on Monday December 6, 2021 at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish at Christ the King (445 Kings Highway South, Irondequoit). Interment immediately following at Irondequoit Cemetery (3671 Culver Road, Irondequoit).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carol’s memory to Golisano Children’s Hospital (Office of Advancement 300 East River Road PO Box 278996 Rochester, NY 14627). Carol’s family would like to thank the staff at St. Ann’s Care Center, especially Regina Hoover and Sue Hargrave.
