George E. Nalivyko
Irondequoit: Thursday, January 20, 2022 at the age of 64. Predeceased by parents, John & Stella; brother, Michael; father-in-law, Henry Romanowski. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Sandy; daughter, Jillian Nalivyko; sister, Mary (Michael) Caracci; mother-in-law, Patricia Romanowski; brother-in-law, Michael (Melissa) Romanowski; many nieces and nephews.
George has been an active volunteer Fire Fighter since 1977. He worked at Rochester General Hospital for 34 years as both Fire Marshal and Emergency Management Coordinator. He was a member of the Rochester Protectives and Laurelton Fire Dept. For the last 6 years, George has been Deputy Fire Marshal and Fire Marshal for the Town of Irondequoit.
George will be remembered as a man of service, loving husband, father, son, brother, and was extremely dedicated to serving his community.
His family will receive friends Tuesday, January 25, 4-7pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.). Friends are invited to meet the family Wednesday, January 26, 10:00 am at Peace of Christ Parish at St. Ambrose Church his Memorial Mass. Interment Private Irondequoit Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 1500 Rosecrans Avenue, Suite 200, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266 or Lipson Cancer Center at Rochester General Hospital, 1450 Portland Avenue, Rochester, NY 14621.
