Walter Sypniak

Rochester - Unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, two days prior to his 70th birthday. Predeceased by parents, Stefan and Maria; brother, Bohdan; and nephew, Alex; father and mother-in-law, John and Edna Flor. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Carolyn; children, Michael (Sarah) Sypniak, Katie (Bradley) Walsh, and Natalie (Nicholas) Bourgoine; proud grandfather of 10 beloved grandchildren, Frazier and Ellis Sypniak, Jackson, Carter and Emerson Walsh, Henry, Josie, Maddie, Sadie and Arlo Bourgoine; brothers, Michael (Irina) and Jaroslaw Sypniak; sisters-in-law, Theresa Cobb, Frances O'Loughlin, Janet Flor, Katherine (Lance) Perkins, Cecelia (John) Slivick; brother-in-law, Stephen (Kristy) Flor; many nieces and nephews.

Walt enjoyed hunting and golfing with his friends. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and handyman to many friends and family. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.

His family will receive friends Monday, January 31, 4-7pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.). Pananchyda 6:30pm. Friends are invited to meet the family Tuesday, February 1, 10:00 am at Ukrainian Catholic Church of Epiphany for his Divine Liturgy. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
