I was sorry to hear of Gus's passing. I am a friend of Gus (aka Gussie) from back in the late 1950's-60's. I have fond memories of our time together in Colorado Springs on El Paso St. He played golf with my brother Greg while his sister Lynne and I played. My condolences to his family.

I am so sorry to hear of Gus' passing. We worked together at Kodak for quite a few years. He was such a sweet man. We lost touch after he retired but when I reminisce of my days at work and his name comes up I get an instant smile on my face. He will be missed but will always be in my memories as one of the best. Rest in peace Gus

I did not know Mr. Apai, but I have gotten to know his beautiful daughter Christine. He must have been a wonderful man to have raised such a special woman. Rest in peace sir.

Dear Barb and Christy, We were shocked to hear the news of Gus's passing. Our hearts go out to you. We will always remember Gus very fondly, whether it was running into the two of you at Wegmans; or driving past your house and waving while Gus was out taking care of your yard, in his signature hat; or having a warm conversation with you on the sidewalk when the two of you were on your walks. Dad, we had so many more years ahead together to spend time so I thought. I am so grateful our relationship improved as we aged and I am so grateful for every visit and phone call. I am grateful for your love and dedication as a family man. I know it wasn't an easy road we had. I wish you were still here. I wish I could have said I love you one more time. This was truelly tragic. I will remember you fondly until I see you again in heaven.
