Obituary of William R. Adam
William (Willy) R. Adam passed away peacefully on March 23, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 22, 1936 to Karl and Greta Adam in Daruvar, Yugoslavia and immigrated to the USA in 1952. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife Elfie, his two sons, Steve (Liz) and Mark (April), nine grandchildren, Jessica, Ashley, Michael, Keith, Naomi, Sophie, Cedric, Emma and Heidi and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Olga Crowder from Virginia and his brother Erich (Deanna) from Waukesha, WI
He was a Sergeant in the US Army and served in the Honor Guard in Arlington, VA. He worked at Roehlen Industries and was an avid soccer player for the German American Sports club. He loved golf, watching football and baseball games. His biggest love besides his family was playing music, he was leader of the Willy Adam Band and loved to entertain his friends.
To celebrate his memory we are having a gathering at Harris Funeral Home in the Family Center Saturday, 3/26/2022 from noon to 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Boys Town or a charity of your choice.
